Biography

Zdravko Čolić  is a Bosnian  pop singer. He is widely considered as one of the greatest vocalists and cultural icons of  FR Yugoslavia. His first significant public singing experience occurred in 1967 when 17-year-old Čolić was persuaded by a friend, Nedim Idrizović, to enter the amateur signing competition in nearby Bijela. He won the second prize. Encouraged by this unexpected success, and soon after returning to Sarajevo, Čolić entered his first band. On 15 April 1972 Čolić’s first solo move was taking part in the Vaš šlager sezone competitive festival in Sarajevo. He won the third audience prize as well as the interpretation award.  He released his first album “Ti i ja” in 1975.
