Nicole is a German singer. and was discovered in 1980 at a song festival in Schwäbisch Hall by Robert Jung. In the same year she sang the title song in the German dubbing of the Japanese anime series “Captain Harlock”. In 1981, she signed a contract with Ralph Siegel at Jupiter Records. In the summer of the same year the title “Flieg nicht so hoch, mein kleiner Freund”. The song was rejected for the national final of the Eurovision Song Contest, but was in the single charts total of 22 weeks and reached the #2 spot. A year later, she took Eurovision revenge by winning not only the German final, but the entire contest with her song “Ein bißchen Frieden”. The title was a huge commercial success; the single has sold more than five million copies worldwide and won several gold and platinum awards.
Nicole took the first place in the ZDF hit parade seventeen times . In the UK, she was the first German singer to reache the number 1 spot in the charts, with the English version “A Little Peace”. Since August 18, 1984 Nicole is married to her childhood friend Winfried Seibert. The couple has two daughters and two grandchildren. The family lives in Nohfelden-Neunkirchen in Saarland. In 1991 Nicole won the Goldene Schlagerband as the winner of the German Song Festival Schlager ’91. In the winter of 2008/2009, Nicole went on tour after a long break to present her album “Mitten ins Herz”, which was released in the spring of 2008. Nicole played unplugged on this tour. Nicole sang alone and was accompanied only by a vocal choir. She played on the accordion and cajón. A guitar, a bass and a cajón provided the musical accompaniment. On November 14, 2009, she began her church tour in 2009 in the Resurrection Church in Kassel. For the 30th anniversary of her career in 2010, a double CD and a DVD titled “30 Jahre mit Leib und Seele”.
