Biography

Duncan Laurence is a Dutch singer and songwriter, born in Spijkenisse. In 2012 he won the talent show ‘Brielle’s got talent’. Duncan started his musical career at the Rock Academy in Tilburg, playing in a number of schoolbands, including his own, The Slick and Suited. He performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag with the band. 
He participated in the fifth season of The Voice of Holland, choosing Ilse DeLange as his coach. He graduated from the Rock Academy in 2017.
In 2019, Duncan Laurence was chosen to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest. As soon as his entry “Arcade” was presented to the audience, Duncan was the huge favourite to win the contest, which he did in the end. After a Dutch tour that was sold out very fast, he started a European tour.
