is a Greek-Cypriot singer, songwriter, actress, television presenter, radio personality, and businesswoman. She began her career in 1973, when she won a talent contest together with her sister Lia Vissi. She was asked to represent Greece in the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest; there was a choice between two songs, but because the composers of the songs had an argument, the entire participation of Anna was withdrawn. Two years later, she represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Auto-stop” and another two years later she came out for Cyprus with her entry “Mono i agapi”. In 1989 Anna Vissi was given her own radio show. In the years following, she had a lot of shows for Greek television. Her album “Travma” (1996) was gold in no less than two weeks, and in the end earned triple platina! She went on a tour through the United States, where she had her final breakthrough in 2004 with her album “Call me”. In 2006 she represented host country Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Everything”.
