Amaia Romero (Pamplona, 3-1-1999) and Alfred Garcia (Barcelona, 14-3-1997) both participated in Operación Triunfo 2017/2018. They where chosen to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. By the time they were in Eurovision, the two were in love with eachother. At the end of the year, they broke up.
Amaia participated in the children’s talent show Cántame una canción, where she sang with David Civera and Sergio Rivero. In 2011, she won the Rock Camp scholarship 2011. In 2012 she participated in El número uno.
In july 2017, Amaia Romero appeared at the casting of Operación Triunfo. Amaia became a finalist of the contest thanks to the 40 points (maximum score in the history of the program) awarded by the members of the jury of the program. Later, she was proclaimed as winner of the edition with 46% of the votes.
After the Eurovision Song Contest. she performed on several festivals and with various other singers.
On November 23 a new version of «When singing» was published, the latter duet with Rozalén.25
On December 14, his collaboration with the artist Alfred García was published, a jazz song in Catalan entitled «Et vull veure» on the first album by the singer-songwriter called «1016». In 2019 she released her first single, “El Relámpago”. Amaia participated in the third season of Paquita Salas. An album, “Pero no pasa nada”, followed.
Alfred began singing in music bars in the summer of 2011 when he was only 14 years old. In 2012, he released his first album and two years later, he recorded his first single, “She looks so beautiful”.
In 2017 and 2018, he participated in Operación Triunfo. After the Eurovision Song Contest he performed at several festivals, with and without Amaia. His first solo single in september of the same year was “Que nos sigan las luces”. His first album “1016” followed. In august 2019, Alfred gave a concert in Buenos Aires.
